oh, so that's also broadcasted about, internationally? say, what do they tell about it, on your news?

well, i'm pretty fine, there hasn't been much going on about that, -also when it happened, around my corner of Germany, hence i also had only heard it the first time, on the news, after new years eve. just these days, it was said on the news, that the same had also happened in other bigger cities the same night, even if in less great degrees.

on a side note, i had a friend of mine on facebook, who shared a Russian (i think) article, which i thus couldn't read, but her comment on her own sharing post that way, stated that what was said, in the article, was so horrible, she didn't even want to translate it, and she also stated, that someone's opinion about it was apparently, that German woman should not complain and better let such things happen... well, my friend actually worded it a bit harsher than that, something along the lines of 'welcoming such people leg-spread'. still, i don't know what was written in the article, neither about whose statements my friend had ranted, if it was the opinion about someone from Russia, or Merkel's opinion (her picture was on the articles image on facebook, so i guess it also had to do with her). but....well, it seems that internationally, people's opinions about this all, are rather diverse.

my thoughts... ugh, i dunno. i know what i'd wish for. as this topic also has to do with the refugees, more or less, i'd wish for....well, to put it that way, 'a merciful, welcoming and sheltering, but also strict and consequent, German hand', of course also regarding the removal. but as that's obviously not the case, i find the things that happen so far, rather fear-inducing, regarding it all from what bad things the immigrants and refugees do, what bad things the conservative and fascist Germans do, and the fact that i can never really trust people, opinions, media, politicians and influencing interests. so far, i only try my best to keep up an optimistic disposition. the bad permanent thoughts, but even more so the fear and worries don't help anything, anywhere, but eventually will only make us prone to end up in blind accusations and ill will, towards 'all of them', lumped together, and it'll only make us blind towards those who truly seek help and refuge. but i still have this wish for those people who did that, to get caught and kicked out with not even any trial, just out, back into their land where they can shift for themselves.

one thing i realised, regarding this 'not trusting the media' above, that i mentioned. a time later after new years even and what happened, there was, -again on Facebook- a post featuring a latter written by male refugees, who apologized for what their fellow countrymen had done that night, and blamed and shamed them. of course, initially i thought positively about that, and in a way i still do, and even did before that, as i'm pretty certain there are also those, also male refugees who really come here to look for a shelter to escape to, and for help. but a moment later, i came to think abut what this was....a letter claimed to be written by refugees, which i cannot check on to be true, and which was posted on Facebook, and which was one well to be successful at shaping opinions; you may catch where i'm going with this,. now don't get me wrong, i have any hostile thoughts or so towards the refugees, but it rather smelt to me, as if it could have been made up to have a bit of something to calm the masses; get what i mean? like, i don't even know if really refugees really wrote that, there's no evidence or actually even real indication.

anyway, i really don't like what happened at new years, but i just hope and pray for it to not repeat itself, just anywhere.

The whole thing seems very strange to me.  The things that the attackers are supposed to have said, reported by the victims and published by the media, are very strange things to say.  I'm not saying that the victims are making things up, but rather that either the media is making changes, or that the attackers were organized with a very specific goal.

Large groups of refugees, supposedly only recently entering Europe and Germany, already speaking proper German, so much so that they can be understood properly in a loud and frantic situation?  Saying things, in proper German, that would only work to: 1) Identify them specifically as belonging to a specific group and 2) Foster hatred toward that entire group (refugees)

If a person walked to someone in... let's say Russia, and said in Russian "I'm an American" and then punched that Russian in the face, the police immediately know that they're not looking only for a foreigner, but specifically for an American.  Additionally, that's going to make people angry about Americans.

So why would you do that?  Unless the goal was to make people angry, you wouldn't do anything to identify yourself while you were committing a crime, and you wouldn't intentionally build hatred toward your own group.

This is one of the strangest situations I have heard about in recent years.  And what happened to the initial reports from the police about the attacks on new years eve being tied to organized crime?
